Conference Access

We support students to attend. They help us share what they learn.

We believe that knowledge should be accessible beyond the conference room.

Through our Conference Access Program, we support selected students in attending leading conferences by covering their approved participation and related expenses. In return, students share their conference experience and permitted educational materials with our community, helping us bring valuable ideas, research, and insights to a wider audience.

How it works

  1. Discover. We identify conferences that offer valuable opportunities for students to learn, connect, and explore new ideas.
  2. Apply. Students submit an application explaining their academic interests, motivation, and how the conference will contribute to their development.
  3. Get sponsored. Selected students receive support for approved conference-related expenses, such as registration, travel, and accommodation.
  4. Attend & learn. Students attend the conference, engage with researchers and professionals, and explore the latest developments in their field.
  5. Share. After the conference, students share their experience and permitted educational materials with us.
  6. Give knowledge a wider reach. We publish approved materials and insights on our platform, making conference knowledge accessible to a wider community.

Attend. Learn. Share.

Who can apply

The programme is designed for students who are motivated to learn, participate, and share knowledge with others. You may apply if you:

  • are currently enrolled in a university, college, or recognised educational institution;
  • have an academic or professional interest relevant to the conference;
  • can explain why attending would contribute to your learning or development;
  • are willing to share your experience and permitted educational materials with our community afterwards;
  • meet any additional requirements for a particular conference or sponsorship.

Each opportunity may have its own eligibility requirements, deadlines, and selection criteria.

What we cover

We do not want financial barriers to prevent students from accessing valuable learning opportunities. For selected students, we may cover approved expenses including:

  • Conference registration — the cost of attending the conference.
  • Travel — reasonable transportation costs to and from the conference.
  • Accommodation — hotel or other approved accommodation during the conference.
  • Visa and related fees — where applicable and approved in advance.
  • Other essential expenses — considered case by case.

The level of support depends on the conference, its location, available funding, sponsorship arrangements, individual circumstances, and the approved programme budget.

Student responsibilities

Before the conference: confirm your participation and travel arrangements, complete any required preparation, and agree to the programme's participation and knowledge-sharing guidelines.

During the conference: attend and participate actively, explore relevant sessions and workshops, connect with researchers and professionals where appropriate, and take notes where permitted.

After the conference: share a short reflection, contribute approved materials where permitted, take part in an agreed knowledge-sharing activity, and respect all conference rules, copyright, privacy, and non-disclosure requirements.

The goal is not to report everything that happened at a conference. It is to bring back knowledge that can help someone who could not be there.

After the conference

The conference is where the knowledge-sharing phase begins. Students work with our team to turn their experience into resources for other students, such as reflections, articles, key learning summaries, interviews, educational videos, photos and observations, explanations of emerging research, and recommended resources.

All materials are subject to conference rules, copyright, permissions, privacy, non-disclosure restrictions, and our editorial standards.

Frequently asked questions

What does the programme pay for? Approved conference expenses such as registration, travel, accommodation, and visa fees. What is covered for each student is set out in their Conference Access Agreement.

Do I have to publish something afterwards? Yes — sharing what you learn is part of the programme. You agree the format with our team, and only material that conference rules and copyright permit is published.

Cancellation & withdrawal

Placeholder — pending legal review. The binding terms will be set out in the Conference Access Agreement.

You can contact the programme to withdraw at any time. The agreement will distinguish between:

  • Conference cancellation — the conference itself is cancelled or materially changed.
  • Programme cancellation — the sponsor or organisation can no longer provide the approved funding.
  • Force majeure — circumstances outside the reasonable control of the parties.

It will explain what happens to registration fees, flights, accommodation, reimbursements, unused funding, and non-refundable expenses already purchased.
